The never-ending packing slog is never ending. Well, I say that, but we are making progress. Yesterday the movers came to get all the bookcases, all the boxes of books and other things we've packed, and to go pick up the china hutch we'd inherited from a friend's mom. I'd forgotten how large the room my workspace is in actually is, and sound bounces back from the walls in a way I'm not used to.

The kitties of chaos are VERY CONFUSED. When I let them out of the basement, they both slunk around being very unsure. Then Erzabet curled up on the couch to snooze, and Vlad ran around the new larger space and tested the acoustics by singing the songs of his people. Loudly, with enthusiasm.

---

In other news, Dear Body, do NOT start a new trend of middlingly-painful migraines suddenly turning into excruciatingly painful, puking, pray for death migraines. There have been two in less than a month and this is NOT OKAY.

---

I don't want to pack today. WOW, do I not want to pack today. I want to do a minor hand sewing project that's been hanging around for a month. But no, packing it is.

Blurgh.
I hope your migraines don't get worse. (Or stop getting worse and back off, as the case may be).

YAY for a china hutch! :-D (I keep most of my fiber arts stuff in one that original belonged to my great grandmother).

the kitties sound like they're adjusting well.

Excuse to procrastinate: Tell me about the minor hand-sewing project you'd rather be working on?

that dress would go perfectly with these tights (pardon my inability to brain enough to tidy the link:

https://snagtights.us/products/80-denier-tights-whack?_pos=2&_sid=f610fe7a7&_ss=r

We learned about snag from drag queens. But they make tights for all sizes of people, that are comfortable and dynamic enough for active drag queen performers, so there you go. I can give you a more detailed review when mine arrive. but check out the variety they carry. They have a number of styles that harken back to the old days of DSI costume tights, but actually well made. Dor loves their chub rub tights shorts.

I am kind of excited about the coming order. I got a set of the vertical stripes, this duo, and a white pair that I am going to draw on since their tights are dyeable. I am just going in circles of WHAT to draw on them. Like.... do I want to draw BEEEEEZ? or Crows? or my abstract Living With It dudes that speak to all sorts of suffering? or something entirely NEW? spoiled for choice.

You've got better sewing skills than I do. I don't know how to take in an arm-scye (is that even how that's spelled?)

That dress is great, but YES to pockets! (Admittedly, I'm a Carries A Mom Purse Everywhere kind of gal, but still. I see the appeal. Especially for going dancing).

migraines suck. moving sucks. work stress sucks.

I am hopeful that once all the moving is done, and you pass your work deadlines (or whatever else it is causing you such big stress moments there), the killer migraines will slide back into the darkness from which they came.

*hugs*

The box life is nearly over. And I'll see you at 2:00 PM on the 13th unless you say otherwise. M'boy needs the care for commuting at 1:00 on that day, so I can't reasonably go earlier.
