I'm mulling cutting my hair. Not drastically, but maybe around back bra strap length? Currently most of my hair is about 2" below my back bra strap - I say "most" because there are tendrils that are almost waist length, due to me haphazardly trimming during the past 2 years.

The additional bonus to if I go through with this is that I could schedule the annual "have a professional dye my hair from roots to ends" appointment. But I need to dither more on if I really want to cut my hair. And of course, if my trusted hair professional has any room in their schedule.

Appointment scheduling with them is likely to be a bit farther out so you would have time to consider things, and it sounds like a couple of inches off might be needed just to even things up. I will also add that I regularly snip an couple of inches off of my length just to relieve the weight of it from my head and shoulders - and it helps to ease some of migraines (the tension induced ones, the rest of them are unaffected but hey... less migraines and less pain is always good).

Cut it. I'm not going to recommend that you be as drastic as I was, but the *relief* I felt when there was less hair to tangle and get caught in collars and jewelry and strain my hands and neck during washing was absolutely worth the length I lost (and that's not even getting into the wretched hand injury). You will still have plenty to put up and run wild when needed if you cut to that length.

I got a haircut about a month ago and it made me feel much better.

Eh, it's only a couple of inches. It grows back. Make the appointment and then trim it yourself anyway because they won't get to see you for a hot minute.
