- This week involved three days that each had 6 hours of meetings. This will not be the norm of my new management life, thank goodness.

- There was also bad sleep, so that was fun.

- OMG the original line-up of Bauhaus is touring, and playing The Paramount on May 20. I'm waiting for their box office to get back to me, because I can buy ADA seating tickets directly from the theatre. I have accepted that if I want to go to a concert, I have to make sure I have a seat that I can easily get to & from and not be jostled. BUT OH MY G-D BAUHAUS.

- In a perfect world, I would have a private chef who would do meal planning and cook. Neither the Stroppy One or I are good at meal planning OR have the energy to cook. We need to eat healthier, but the time & effort involved is a steep cost. If there was a local service that had organic pre-made meals and could work around food sensitivities, I would take advantage of being decently-paid tech industry scum and throw money at the problem. But I haven't found someplace like that yet.

- In shallow shallow fandom news: yes, JK Rowling is a trash person, let's not give her money. But the trailer and posters have been released for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and DAMN. Mads Mikkelsen as a well-dressed evil wizard? My gracious.

In order -

- Bleah meetings for most of any day.

- Bad sleep here too. The weather has been freakish this week with highs in the middle of the night and lows in the afternoons for a few days. just WEIRD. I think the bad sleep and OMG pain are related to that.

- OMG Bauhaus!! I have tickets to Nightvale if they are actually going to come. I admit, I am afraid of crowded theatres right now.

- did the Mad Woman leave?

- I caught a still of Mads and my inner fangirl squeed a lot. But ugh, JK. I am hoping it will be a simul-release on HBOMax so we don't have to see it in the theatre and give her money, but I DO want to see it because OMG eeeeeeeeee!

.... also, I sent you an email in the wee hours of last night.

Cyborg and I saw Bauhaus in their "last tour ever really we mean it" back in the 90's on the first night of a 2-night stay in NYC, and they were really dreadful. Like why did we pay money for this dreadful. Friends who saw their second show said it was amazing, they'd let out all the stops and blown the roof off the house, and godsdamnit I did not need to hear that. I hope this show will be Second Night for you.

There should be people who do exactly what is suggested above, who come in and do meal prep, contact your local ADA office and see what they offer.

Days of meetings are stupid because that means nothing actually gets accomplished except folks get to swan about and talk about how they are just soooo busy with meetings. Ugh.

ETA - sorry, this should have been an independent comment, not a reply.

You may not be able to hire a cook full time, but maybe you could hire someone to come in, say, once a week, or once a month, and spend a day or two doing meal prep for you guys?

Even in a sleepy beach town I found a cook for Elaine. She did all the shopping, brought in her own equipment, then cooked in Elaine's kitchen. She provided all the containers that went from freezer to microwave or oven. Then she collected them to be used again. 2 weeks of lunch and dinner prepared all in one day for $300. That was for a main and a side dish with a cupcake, brownie, or cold treat. It was such a relief to know she was eating meals. There was a gal doing this here and she was $800 for 2 weeks of meals for the 2. It was a lot of food and I kind of regret not trying her service just to see what it was like.

The original lineup of Bauhaus?? Whoa, I heard that they were playing without Daniel Ash on this tour, and when I heard that I thought, "No thanks." Now I am going to go look this up, because I'll have much different feelings about going if it's the whole band!

I used to follow a guy on LJ who was doing special diet planning and meal delivery, but I don't remember his name. If I can dredge it out of my forgettery I'll let you know.
