- We went to Jen & Jim's for Thanksgiving, and it was low-key and very soothing.

- Now comes the "what the hell do we want to do for Christmas" decisions. Over the past decade+, I have lost much of my festive spirit and gained seasonal depression. I don't like this at all, and feel guilty about not feeling festive, and then it's a spiral and I hate everything. We can't really decorate because there's not really space to do so without encouraging disaster in the form of Vlad the Himbo Cat viewing everything as a parkour challenge. (This has been a problem for years, and actually started with Vlad's predecessor, Tzepesh.) We're vaguely looking at some options.

- Victorian Trading Co. had a decent Black Friday sale, and I once again ogled the Christine's Dressing Gown in black. "Honey, does Sandy Claws know what he's getting me this year?" I asked. "No, Sandy Claws does not, why, what the hell are you looking at?" Eeeeeee!

(Sandy Claws also asked for a list of other things I've been window-shopping, even tho' "Sandy Claws' representative is certain that a few of them will be of the "just because it is gothy and has a bat on it doesn't mean it's an elegant design Jillian”. These are the conversations that happen in my house.)

- I have a sewing project I want to do that involves some specific supplies that I'm 90% sure I own. The problem is that they are in cabinets that were moved downstairs when the Madwoman in the Attic moved in. I have not been in the basement since December 2019, because the stairs to our basement are a steep non-Euclidean danger for people who don't have bad backs, so there's no way I can risk them. I'm going to have to sweet-talk the Stroppy One into bringing drawers full of ribbon and lace trim upstairs so I can go through them to check my supplies. Wish me luck.

I have a good back, no claustrophobia, and headlamps. Just saying.

Darling girl, you, as a Seattle inhabitant for long, surely know the joys of Damp Rid, yes? Just checking. There are things stored in the shed loft that I wouldn't trust to be there without several containers of Damp Rid, and a space heater when temps fall below 50F.

Oh yes, DH won't let me climb the ship's ladder to the loft...I *know* there are things up there I forgot we had, that I had him put there. Very frustrating. May you manage to get your drawers o' stuff up where you can rummage safely.

If you ever want an Emo Teen who's been working trail crew and would probably love to come carry things up from the basement in return for hand me downs, lmk.
