•  Tuesday afternoon, Dad called. "Are you swamped with work right now, or can you come stand at the edge of your driveway?" I ran outside so I could have a socially-distanced visit with my Dad, who I hadn't seen in over a year. I was SO HAPPY, even if I did tear up when I got inside. (It turns out that L'Oreal Double Extend mascara is waterproof, but crying makes the lashes clump into spikes.)
• FIRST VACCINATION APPOINTMENT THIS SATURDAY, HELL YEAH.
• I paused about halfway through in reading The Drowning Girl by Caitlin R. Kiernan. I'll get back to it soon, but feeling a little emotionally fragile + reading about a main character who finds reality a little soft around the edges? Not a great combo for me. 
• I'm slowly organizing the cabinet top where all my fancy witchy jewelry lives, because 1) I want to look at it, and 2) if I see it I will wear it all the time, even on concert tee/leggings/no makeup days.So I'm looking at vintage jewelry boxes where I can leave the drawers open. I'm considering this one, but I need to figure out if I'd be able to use alcohol ink to brush/stamp dye the exterior a better color. I really like this one, but not at $99.

I am still alive. woo.

I have used 3m hooks to hang my necklaces on a glass door in my bathroom so I see them every day, and have used a wire mesh basket hung so the bottom faces out to hang my french hook earrings from so I see them any time I am in the bathroom.

Do you want me to take & send pics of Dad when we occasionally cross paths around the house? I don't always have my phone on me at the time but I can certainly make a point of doing so going forward so I can do this if you would like it.

Finally being able to get one of those wall hanging jewelry cabinets was spectacular for me. Bec., yes, seeing it helps me remember what I have & can wear. The cabinet isn't big enough for everything, but seeing 2/3rds of the good stuff hanging there is great. I also have a few glass or plastic coffins that I can put a few pieces in to see & more easily wear.

So happy you got to see your dad. Yay, for vaccination on Saturday. My first 2 week post injection adventure is a hair cut on Wednesday followed by the DMV to get an enhanced ID on Thursday. All of my long necklaces are on individual 3m hooks on the side of a cabinet. Then I layer in short and medium strands if the hook will take the weight. Stops tangles and lets me see everything at once.
