(Not a bandom lyric, but a thematically appropriate lyric for the post.)

I am a goth history book junkie. I have a stack of them that I haven't read yet (go figure), but that didn't stop me from buying another one!

Waiting for Another War - A History of the Sisters of Mercy

I LOVE SOM's music. I listen to Floodland fairly often, and I'm pretty sure the video for "Dominion" is what kicked off my fondness for all-white gothy outfits way back when.
However, I also know that Uncle Andy Eldritch is a controlling asshole of the highest calibre, to the point of not paying musicians, then making them sign gag orders after a court case rules he has to pay them. His treatment of Patricia Morrison (excellent bassist! Queen of big hair!) is legendarily awful. So of course, I'm very curious to read this book and see how much Patricia -erasure there is, and how much of a kid glove treatment it gives Andrew.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it.

I highly recommend The Mission U.K. - Its basically SOM minus Andrew. Wayne Hussy's voice is not as deep and broody as Andy's but is still pretty deep. I adore them.

Cyborg and I danced to "Something Fast" at our wedding, this book interests me. Thank you for the link.
