I dressed my trusty dress form, Miss Lucinda, in my theoretical Vespertine Ball outfit. I ... liked the fox stole, but the strands and strands of necklaces leaned more toward "Edwardian Matron" than I wanted.

But! I found a tiny rhinestone crown in my stockpile and wired the vintage rhinestone hair decor to it, so that's a super-fancy piece. And then out of idle curiosity searched "rhinestone long necklace" on Amazon and found a fuck-off sparkly rhinestone bib necklace; It's a wide rhinestone choker with a triangular bib of rhinestone strands. It was cheap, it had really good reviews, and it'll get here tomorrow.

So! New wardrobe plan!
  • Black high-collar long-sleeved blouse.
  • Rhinestone bib necklace.
  • Black fox stole
(Between the necklace and the stole, only my sleeves will be visible.)
  • Hair up in the deranged governess quasi-victory roll style.
  • Super sparkly crown.
Now I just have to figure out dramatic eye makeup that will actually LOOK dramatic despite my glasses and a webcam. Oh, and maybe buy a bunch of rhinestone-tipped bobby pins, to better secure the ribbons for the crown to my head.

The bobby pins will catch the light and add extra sparkle. Go for it!

Eye make-up and zoom has been an adventure. My last Zoom D&D game I had raccoon eyes. Lined upper and lower lid with pencil and then smudged a bit to soften the lines. It slowly seeped in to the eye wrinkles and my raccoon look was rather dramatic. Fear the Tiefling raccoon sorceress!

for cameras remember that shimmer can add weird white reflections where you do not want them to be. Sparkle is good for video but be sure to test any light shimmers before going live just in case.

But I think these adjustments to your look sound fabulous.

I want to make a plaster cast for making masks that will fit over my glasses, thus enabling me to see, and to negate the need for the type of fancy eye makeup I can no longer wear.
