 Official email went out from the executive team at my job: all Seattle employees who can work from home are strongly encouraged to do so until at least March 20th.

we got this for our office, however it is just for the next couple of days as it was just someone who was exposed to someone, rather than someone who had it.

very thankful that I am in a position that I have this option and will still be paid - not everyone is so lucky

I'm wondering if this virus might turn out to be good for the environment in the long term. Maybe some of these large companies will realise that they don't need to fly their execs around so much and video meeetings can work instead, and having staff work from home is actualy efficient because they don't get stuck in traffic.
