One completely unexpected side effect of an office job - well, vaguely expected, but not this soon - is that my measurements have shrunk a bit. Not a lot, but enough that my clothes are better fitting. All of my batwing hem jackets by BlueJay fit with no straining. (There are still safety pins involved for between the buttons, but there isn't a jacket in my wardrobe that doesn't need safety pins, no matter what my weight.)

I expected that healthy snacks and a 15 minute+ walk to the bus every day would eventually have an effect, but 2 weeks in seems a little fast. Not that I'm complaining!

I've heard that second-hand growing up from all the diets my mother was on, that "water weight" (whatever that actually refers to) is lost first. The general consensus of all of the ones she tried, tho, is that there's a period of surprisingly quick weight loss, then a plateu, then slower weight loss after that.
