I had my Botox shots on Tuesday! The migraine is gone! I no longer yearn for an extended bout of unconsciousness!
This was the first time I'd ever had close to the "full protocol" of the shots; when done by my fabulous dentist, it was three locations on each side. This time it was 20 shots on each side, including the tops of my shoulders, but not my forehead. My neurologist was worried that if she skipped the forehead areas that it wouldn't be effective, but she listened to me when I said "No really, I get immediate relief, and if for whatever reason these shots aren't working, I'll know within 15 minutes". And just like always, the migraine dropped after the first four shots.
---
I'm waiting to hear if I'll get an interview for the position my agency rep submitted me for on Friday. I'm also hoping that come July, the Powers That Be will give budget back to the team that wanted to hire me, and I'll just slide into that contract.
---
You know what no migraine means, besides a dramatic upswing in my productivity? I'll have the brain to be able to read new books! I've had the ARC of Erin Morgenstern's new book sitting on my desk for a week and a bit now, but my brain was sliding off anything new.
---
I would really like a few days to just be lazy; days that aren't you aren't capable of doing anything because of pain, but just hey I'm going to relax days. However, that's not going to happen, because as we all know, the only time I am capable of not fretting about Not Doing Enough is when I'm at Disneyland.
(I wish I was joking, but no. There's something about the Kingdom of the Mouse that short-circuits my constant low-level guilt/anxiety about not being productive.)

I (also) wish you were here, and we were celebrating no migraines and the "temporary reprieve from job-land" with tea and sparkly jet appliqués <3
