I! HAVE BEEN! PRODUCTIVE! A whole bunch of GCS writing stuff, laundry, things to help get the Stroppy One out the door for his trip*, GCS content planning, and GCS Patreon planning. This means I can spend the evening watching Hannibal and doing some hand sewing, right?

Guess who has a doctor appointment at 11:15 tomorrow morning? Guess who usually doesn't get out of bed by 11:15 nowadays? :: sighs :: But it was the nearest appointment I could get, and while the thing I'm getting checked isn't (probably) worrying, it's something I should get checked out sooner rather than later. (Whoops, I need to log onto the health portal and make sure my meds list is up-to-date.)

Thank you to everyone who gave opinions about VMB accessories! Yes, all the VMB things (outfit, hotel, food, travel) are a tax deduction for me, buuuuut since there isn't a lot of income coming in currently, I need to be mindful of the budget. However, I know I've seen patterns for those sorts of standing lace collars, so I'm going to do some searching and talk to the Infamous BlueJay - I already have the fabric I'd want to use! I mean, I know she could easily make it, but I'd like to give her some sort of starting point.

* The Stroppy One is off to a M:tG show this weekend. He comes home on Monday, and then leaves again on ... Thursday? For almost two weeks because UK and Spain. As always when he's away, I'll be breaking up with linear time.

I gave you an antique Victorian pattern while you were here which I believe had a standing collar (not the redingote, but the capelet/collars one)... perhaps it could be used as a starting point, exaggerated upwards and outwards to get the kind of proportion & flare you're looking for.
