Miss Erzabet No Biting went to the emergency vet today because of coughing and breathing problems. They think it’s asthma. She’s staying overnight in the oxygen cage, and starting bronchial dilators and steroids. Fingers crossed she gets to come home on Sunday, and not spend another night there.
A thing I learned today: when a vet asks if we authorize CPR in a crisis or do we want a DNR note in her chart, my brain locks and blue-screens. He reassured us that a crisis isn't likely, but it's a question they have to ask.

And yeah, my brain bluescreens on that with pets too. I just...can't. With people? no problem, but with pets? nope. Bluescreen to internal hard shutdown, possibly tripping the fuse entirely.
I suspect this hazy smoky hair is to blame. It's so awful.
I hope she recovers quickly and is a perky girl tomorrow and gets to come home. *hugs* Sending you love and hope and healthy kitty hopes. <3
