The trip to Disneyland was way too short, just like every trip I take to Disneyland.

Going there, for me, is absolutely an escape. It's a meticulously designed and beautifully crafted fantasy world that glosses over or ignore any negativity or ugliness from the real world. I'm aware of the costs - both for visitors and the hard and not-as-well-paid-as-it-should-be work every one of the park and hotel employees perform - but that particular escapist fantasy world is one that has deeply-planted hooks in the parts of my brain where the senses of wonder and whimsy are.

So anyway, some photos!

OMG TEACUPS. I love fast spinny rides. I won't go near roller coasters, but things that spin around and around? Hell yes.

It's a ride that ends, quite literally, in going to Hell. Disney would never, EVER make this ride nowadays.

HOME, HOME, HOME.

In the mirror at the aforementioned home.

The Gothic Charm School meet up! (Yes, I arranged a meet up. I was informed by People I Trust that I need to start doing meet ups at events.)

This is one of my favorite photos from the trip, because it was taken right after the emo space edgelord asked me if I was ready to join the Dark Side. As everyone over on Tumblr and FB replied, he obviously didn't know who he was talking to.
