(Obligatory bandom reference: I really like the lyrics for "Young and Menace", but the music still doesn't grab me. But the piano-only version PStump performed at the concert was brilliant.)
- I took the day off of work today because I had a bunch of other stuff I had to get done, and I knew trying to multi-task was going to end in feeling overwhelmed and possibly crying. That was a really smart decision, self! Good job! (That is said with no sarcasm, actually. I'm slowly learning better self-care habits.)
Because I took the day off, I slept in until 11:30. While one night of decent sleep doesn't really make a dent in my backlog of sleep dep, waking up at the time my body clock is set to really does make a difference in how alert I feel. - On the strongly worded advice of my therapist, I added more vacation days to the Bats Day trip. No, I won't be in CA for additional time, but I will have THREE DAYS of additional relaxation when I get home. Crazy, I know.
- Have I mentioned I'm (slowly) working on strengthening my time management and planning skills? I have learned the hard way that digital calendar/planning apps don't work for me. It doesn't matter if whatever it is syncs with my phone and whatnot; I still forget things. So it's back to paper I go! I have a small calendar notebook that lives in my purse, a large one that lives on my desk, and I've started checking them against each other every Sunday. This feels weird.

Its good to know I am not the only one who still needs to use a paper calendar.
