Previously, whenever it was time for the biweekly 7am meeting, I would go back to bed when it was over. Because sleep, right? More sleep! And then it would take me an hour+ to get back to sleep, and when I staggered upright again (around 10:30ish), I would feel jet-lagged and woozy for the rest of the day.
So today I thought I'd try an experiment, and not go back to bed after the meeting! Just stay up, and see what life as a morning person / daywalker was like!
... wow, that was not great. In fact, it pretty much felt the same as the times I got up early, then went back to bed after the accursed meeting.
I do not like being a daywalker. I just want to sleep. Sleeeeeeep.
"Sleep" is a different bandom song than the one the title is taken from, and by an entirely different band. This has been your Tangential Bandom Reference.

ultimately, there is no winning with daywalking.

I've tended to insomnia for decades. Having recently had the chance to let myself sleep when my body tells me to [not withstanding when sick and suddenly sleeping 12-14 hours a day] - I find I can drop off easily shortly before dawn and wake mid-afternoon.
