My wonderful custom-dyed burgundy witch boots have kicked off an even bigger craving for burgundy footwear.

Yes, I can already sense some (well, many, probably) of you saying, "YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE SHOES OR BOOTS, NO MATTER WHAT COLOR". You are (probably) not wrong. But ... burgundy shoes! I wants them!

EDITED TO ADD: Once I get past the end of January deadline and the trip to the Copenhagen office, I really need to seriously contemplate and make hard decisions about what I'm culling from my Fluevog collection. There are some shoes I love, but I have to accept that I almost certainly won't wear them again.

You know I would never say you don't need any more shoes. Of course you need more shoes. Your feet shrank and you haven't replaced all those shoes from before then!

And, just a reminder, I wear that old size of course. So you can always send shoes to live with me for a while before sending them away away forever. ;)

"YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE SHOES OR BOOTS, NO MATTER WHAT COLOR"

To quote you, these words you say. They make no sense to me.

culling

I am once again sad that your feet are not especially large.

I am boot shopping in earnest right now and I don't need shoes, either. I'm about to make a big illustrated post about all the stuff I am coveting right now, either to convince myself to add it all up and decide against blowing the money, or at least to winnow out what I can live without.

When you sell your Fluevogs, do you sell them on eBay? Or locally, or elsewhere?

Donated a bag of high heels this year. It was hard to see them go and admit that ship has sailed. Let someone else enjoy the shoes. The burgundy boots are stunning.

Well, I spent a solid six months this year looking for the right oxblood pumps.

When I found the right ones, mind you, I put them on, turned to the salesman, and said immediately, yes, I'll take these. The children boggled. "But you've been looking for new red shoes forever!"

And now I've found them, yes.
