I realize that my perceptions have been completely skewed by the GIANT moonstone pendant that was a lucky, lucky purchase from a friend a few years ago, because it's 1) enormous, and 2) amazing quality. But that's probably why I wasn't immediately grabby-hands about anything we saw at the gem and mineral show.

What I really want? A topaz pendant that size. And a labradorite one. The chances of finding such things? Magic 8 ball says "Probably not, just get over yourself".

Here, have a photo of the moonstone pendant in question, because I love it so.

Bekkathyst often has really large and beautiful cabochon labradorite. I don't think her pendants will be to your taste -- she does wandering wire and rougher copper-plated stuff (although seriously you should take a look at some of those, she's got some gorgeously witchy stuff; I think they're gone now, but she had a trio of labradorite skull pendants with crowns and horns and things) -- but you could buy the stone for not-that-much and get it set somewhere.

I bought my wife one a piece of purple labradorite from Bekkathyst for her birthday. It's amazing. And she's good about special orders and trying to find you things.

You might have luck if you use add the keyword "statement" to your searches. I've been seeing that a lot lately on large necklace pieces like that.

Yes, I've seen you wear that, and I love it too! I wouldn't mind something like that with a black stone.
