Here, have a rambling, not-in-any-order list!

• I'm not officially doing NaNoWriMo. I never officially do NaNoWriMo. However, I'm using its very existence as sort of a prod to get me working on the next fiction project idea. My hope is to work on it every night, but I'm not sure it will happen tonight BECAUSE ...


• I have a migraine (oh yay, changeable weather), and it is taking all of my energy and focus to get dayjob work done.


• And dear sweet spirits, there is a LOT of dayjob work to get done. My worries about it have been slightly reassured though, because everyone keeps telling me that everything is expected to be very rough for this upcoming deadline. "Get what you can done, and don't worry about it being perfect". I keep repeating this to myself.


• There's a goth night in town that I keep hearing good things about. People actually dress up for it, and the DJs are good. The catch? It's on Sunday nights. I have a 7am meeting on Mondays. I still may try and sweet-talk the Usual Suspects into trying it out for a few hours one of these weeks, because I'm really curious about it!


• OH MY G-D THIS MIGRAINE ::weeps::


• There have been some changes to my medication lately, and one of the side effects is less inflammation and pain, yay! The numbers on the scale are not really dropping, but I'm certainly less ... puffy, let's say.


• Which means I've been unearthing jackets out of the wardrobes that were a bit too snug and discovering that they fit properly again! MY GRAY AND RED VELVET LESTAT BLAZERS, WELCOME BACK TO MY LIFE.


• Yes, I have two specific velvet blazers that remind me of Lestat. What? This should not come as a surprise to anyone who even vaguely knows me.


• The new Anne Rice book, Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis comes out at the end of this month. I am looking forward to this. It will be lurid and ridiculous and cracky, and I can't wait.

... I'm sure there was other stuff. Oh well.
