Thanks to some discussions with solstice_lilac and kambriel about dark mori and strega fashion, I finally broke down and created a pinterest board. (Yes, I'm on pinterest) https://www.pinterest.com/gothiccharmscho/witchy-fashion/

There's a LOT I like about the drapey, layered, hello-I-am-a-fairytale-witch look. (Go on, look surprised). Now I just need to stop listening to the Body Image Demons about how I'll look like a round pile of black laundry ...

(Wide elastic belts will probably help with that issue. That, and going with tunic tops where the fullness is through the hips, instead of giant baggy shirts and sweaters.)

(Who am I kidding? I am going to pile these layers under a fitted waistcoat. Which is pretty much what I already do.)

I love love LOVE this look, but can never find pieces in my size. *weeps*

(I'd also need to be strategic with shape -- I can wear tattered skirts and long tops, but there needs to be a waistline in there somewhere, or else everything hangs straight down from my boobs.)

I at least have some of the jewelry for it -- although I wish that my Bloodmilk stuff hadn't been among the pieces stolen when I moved (a whole bunch of my favorite jewelry got lifted, because I was in the hospital during part of the move, and my mother turned in the keys *despite me specifically telling her not to*, and she hadn't checked all the drawers in the bathroom -- and that's where I kept my favorite jewelry and makeup. *SNARL*)

But, yeah, if you find a reasonable plus-sized source for the dark mori/strega look, please do share!! :)

Lotus Traders and Holy Clothing both have a pretty good selection of tops/skirts/dresses that could be adapted to a dark mori look, and their size range is not depressing. There are some unfortunate product names (the word g*psy is everywhere on those sites), but there are some really great things.

I keep seeing dark mori/strega Polyvore sets using this top from Chicstar (http://www.chicstar.com/storefront/listproducts.aspx?id=11172), to the point that I'm actually idly considering buying it in the next few months.

I'm a bit disappointed in Lotus Traders -- they used to have more of a selection. I love the two older dresses of theirs that I own, but I visited the site recently and didn't see anything that grabbed me.

That top IS really cute!

I'm trying to train myself away from flowy bell sleeves, because they're asking for trouble in a wheelchair -- but I love full sleeves with cuffs :)
