This is the time of year my migraines are the worst. Something about the combination of heat, light, and weather just does me in.

Yes, I'm going to remember to call my doctor and set up an appointment to talk about them. I promise. But right now? I want cupcakes and a trepanation kit.

In other news: vintage skull buckle winklepickers! Only worn 3 times! Yeah, I'm finally selling off the boots that don't fit me. They're a super-narrow 7, in case any of you are interested.

I would be all the smoke that is polluting the air (along with just the regular pollution when we havent had a good rain in a while) is a contributing factor too. I know *I* am having a lot of extra issues with oxygen.

Grass/weed/ragweed season, too. The pollen's been *brutal* out here, although I don't think we've got smoke from y'all yet.

i will offer the recipe that helped me most when i had really bad migraines... (more than one a week...mine were mainly hormonal and menopause smoothed that out quite a bit)

warm a cup of milk or so on the stove, on low heat. drop in 2 teabags of peppermint tea (make sure it is ONLY peppermint in the bag), and let it steep about 5-6 minutes. sweeten to taste and drink. it's *gross*. it *helps*, often knocking mine out within 20 minutes.

it will not work for everyone, but it's worth trying once. other than that, you have my utmost sympathies, and those of the cat-in-a-dog-suit, too. *gentle hugs if you would like*

Even though we're two months after the solstice and it's cooled off a little? Huh.
