Hi! Thank you very much for signing up for Yuletide and offering a fandom I requested! I'm excited to see what you come up with.

Some information about me and my reading preferences you may find helpful:

- I'm a goth. (Big surprise, I know.) I have a morbid sense of humor, I love horror movies, and I have enormous bookcases crammed full of vampire books and vintage gothic romance paperbacks.

- I adore fluff and happy endings. I also like my vampires and other monsters to be happily amoral, and sometimes combining that with what other folks would call a "happy ending" won't work.

- I love snappy banter and lush descriptions.

- I have a strong aversion to humiliation themes and issues. Very strong aversion.

- For the fandoms I requested, I would prefer nothing go beyond a R rating. (These are not the fandoms I read for hard-core smut. ::grin::)

Again, thank you for offering a fandom I requested!

I should get around to revisiting the source media for the Yuletide fic I'm supposed to be writing, huh? I mean, I have a ~ * vague * ~ idea of a story, but that's about it.

... can I take selfies with the Yuletide bears? Is that a thing?
A cross-over story for the fandom I wrote in last year, plus this year's (as yet unrevealed) fandom?

::scribbles some notes::

I was given TWO stories for Yuletide!

Dracula: A Man May Sleep. http://archiveofourown.org/works/1086136

Addams Family: The Pocket Prometheus. http://archiveofourown.org/works/1086003

I love them both.

And and and, my Yuletide giftee left a nice comment on the story I wrote them, so I feel good about that.

Merry Christmas/happy Wednesday to everyone!

Dear fantastic person who was assigned me for Yuletide,

Hi! Thank you very much for signing up for Yuletide and offering a fandom I requested! I'm excited to see what you come up with.

Some information about me and my reading preferences you may find helpful:

- I'm a goth. (Big surprise, I know.) I have a morbid sense of humor, I love horror movies, I have an enormous bookcase crammed full of vampire books, and I've been accused of springing directly from the brain of Tim Burton. However, I adore fluff and happy endings.

- I love snappy banter and lush descriptions.

- I have a strong aversion to humiliation themes and issues.

- For the fandoms I requested, I would prefer nothing go beyond a PG-13 rating. (These are not the fandoms I read for smut. ::grin::

Again, thank you for offering a fandom I requested!
Yeah, yeah, I'm going to make a post about 2012 in the next few days. But for now? Hey look, this is the story I wrote for Yuletide!

Lobelia and Aconite
Fandom: Addams Family (1991)

A boy ... a girl ... an open grave.

---

Tonight, I need to respond to all the nice comments people left on the story.
Off to holiday parties on Christmas Eve:

With slightly big hair, even! This is what happens when I see a lot of photos of young Dave Vanian, apparently.

Spaaaaaarkly tights and vintage Fluevogs.

And and and! The stories for Yuletide went up, and the one written for me is just adorable. V Is For Virgil, Who Died En Flambé. Addams Family PLUS Gashlycrumb Tinies!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Yuletide story: POSTED.

Threat level: HAHAHAHAHAHA, DONE! TAKE THAT, BEARS!

Cass and the Infamous BlueJay are wonderful beta readers.
I have a plot! I have 895 words written! I ... am only about halfway done.

In other words, I'm completely on schedule for Yuletide, right? REASSURE ME HERE, PEOPLE.

I just looked at some of the nominations for Yuletide. Not only is the movie that made me go, "Huh, wonder if that's offered this year" there (Cabin in the Woods, yes, I want to write in that 'verse), but ooooh, a bunch of other movies I'd be interested in. Besides Addams Family and The Lost Boys, I mean. Zombieland! ParaNorman! Practical Magic! Bell, Book, and Candle!

I should not be thinking of signing up for Yuletide. No, I should not. I HAVE A NOVEL TO FINISH. And a website that should be updated more often than once a month.

But daaaaamn, I'm tempted. SHUT UP, MINIM. I can see you over there, nodding and mouthing "Yes, yes, sign up".

Hmmm.

I can't believe I'm thinking about this.

EDITED TO ADD: Oh G-DAMMIT. Beetlejuice is also listed in movies, and The Night Circus and the Parasol Protectorate series are nominated in books. I sense a threat level of bears lurking in my future.
