Last night I had a yummy dinner in MY OWN HOUSE, made for us by the Infamous BlueJay, and I got to pet my kitties (Erzabet let me know that leaving for that long is Not Acceptable to her), have a long conversation with Clovis, and then sleep in my very own bed next to the StroppyOne. So, so wonderful.

Today I am working from home and doing all the laundry so my clothes no longer faintly smell of cigarette smoke. While I'm doing that, here, have a few more photos from my adventures in Vegas:

Showgirls! Well, street performers dressed convincingly as showgirls.

At Vesper, drinking something called a Corpse Reviver. It included absinthe, and it was lovely. I had two of those, and a drink called a Corpse Bride. Alcoholic necromancy FTW!

This is one of the couches at the Cosmopolitan, which is now the hotel of my "If money were no object" Las Vegas fantasies.

After drinks, we found a place named The Cupcakery. It called to the very depths of my soul ...

As you can see by this photo.

All in all, the conference in Vegas was very informative, but wow. A week is Vegas is ... overwhelming. Very much so. I'm glad to be home.

I adore your drinky photo! and I still haven't been to Vegas, I don't even know how i've managed to live in America this long and not ever been to vegas ...

I've been to Vegas but never left the airport, so apparently that does not count really. The only times I have been there were either between flights, or while my plane picked up more people.

I've never been there either, and I don't WANT to. I lived in Reno for a couple years as a kid, though. And I've been to Atlantic City, which I don't recommend to anyone.

the pictures, they give me squee.

dinner made by bluejay = OMG YUM! (as I have had her cooking)

I am extremely pleased you have made it through your week in vegas and lived to tell the tale.

You went to Vesper? There is a bartender there that D has patronized for YEARS, except for this last time because we were making our drink on at the Baby Doll Lounge. I figure we will indulge during another trip.

And yes, Cosmo is a wonderful place. We stayed at Aria for my birthday weekend, which was equally nice, if not full of Sparkly Chandelier Business.

There is a beauty to Vegas that I can't help but love, even in its tackiest places. It's like Disney land for grownups only. But yes, exhausting.

I love the long fitted waistcoats you have been wearing...very flattering. But then you always look lovely:)

I love reading about your adventures in "Glitzberg, the City that Eversparkles". So which kinds of cupcakes did you sample? You must review this place in depth for me in the event I get back there in the near future.
