Guess who called in sick to work with hellacious PMS and cramps? Yeah, the fun never stops. But the Stroppy One gave me my birthday present early: the Blu-Ray of the Tim Burton's Dark Shadows! Which is a lot of fun, and far, far more to my tastes than the trailers would have led one to think.

So, just as a point of information and not to try to push you into anything, but the thing that rally totally cured my hellacious cramps was getting a Mirena IUD. Thing is practically miraculous. Now kicking myself for not getting one years earlier. (and the reason I didn't was that I was terrified of the insertion process, but I found a gyn who would do it with a local anesthetic on my cervix and with that it was actually totally bearable... though I did still take the afternoon off work to sit with a warm cup of tea and watch Law & Order reruns. Because I could.)

I'm sorry to hear about your horrible cramps. I guess chamomile amd catnip tea probably won't work, huh? That's what I used, alternating with Celectial Seasons Tension Tamer when I had cramps. I never liked the idea of an IUD or any plastic stuck "up there" and avoided it like the plague.

Your Vlad remind me of my two little Burmese/Tabby kitties, Bast and Palu. They were sisters and littermates, never seperated until Palu died in 2004. Bast joined her in 2006. I miss them terribly. They do make wonderful heating pads though. What breed is your Vlad?
