No one is getting back to me about the various polite & well-written emails (plus resumes) that I've sent off over the past 3 weeks. HR boi (who is supposed to be going off and lighting a fire under people to make them respond to me, as I'm under a deadline)'s only suggestion? "You should check the internal job board again, and make sure you've exhausted all your options."
Why thank you. Just WHAT exactly do you think I've been doing in the 3 weeks since I was told that my job is going away?

So, I started playing phone tag with some hiring managers today. Found out that one was out of the office until Tuesday next week, so I called *his* manager. Who says "oh yeah, that test lead job. We just filled it."
"The level xx one? The functional test lead position?"
"Yeah, we filled it."
Now, I wouldn't be so pissed about this EXCEPT for the fact that no one (NO ONE!) ever got back to me to even say "thanks for your interest, but you're not what we have in mind".
sigh
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the possibility #1 Minion is trying to set up for me.

I know things will work out, and I'll end up in a job that is better suited for me, will give me more money, and will not drive me crazy. I DO know this, and I've been feeling far less hopeless and depressed lately. I just want things to happen faster.
But hey! I found the first 4-leaf clover of season in the yard yesterday, which can ONLY be of the good.
