La this is one hell of a late comment, but as I'm closing tabs, why not: This got me to add Mary Poppins to my to be read list. I have no strong attachment to the film and knew nothing about the character in the source material—but she, well, she sounds quite intriguing. So thanks for bringing it to my attention!
