Memorial

Saturday's memorial for Mom went well. I won't lie, it was hard. Dad and I cried off and on through the whole thing. But it was a good event, and seeing everyone together to celebrate her was very touching.

Thank you again to Thea, Eric, Judith, Torrey, Elana, and everyone else who helped with it, and thank you to everyone who has been keeping us in their thoughts.

This year has been rough so far. I'm hoping the rest of 2011 treats us far more gently.

We didn't have a memorial for my aunt, and while I feel like I made peace her incipient death after I made my last visit, it's just weird and limbo-y. So I am glad you and your dad had that.
