I *knew* I wasn't the only person who wrote things on themselves! Thank you for going along with the silly poll.
As to my wacky health issues: oh yes, I am taking probiotics, in addition to eating yogurt every day. My doctor was very clear about my needing to do that.
The insane vitamin/supplement regime, behind the cut for ease of scrolling.
- MegaB Stress, which is a B-complex multivitamin.
- Biotin, for my nails and hair.
- Vitamin D. Hi, I'm a goth in Seattle. I get no sunlight.
- Rhodiola, which is for stress/adrenal support.
- Florastor, probiotic goodness.
- DMAE, for clear thinking.
- Fish oil capsules.
- ACE+Z (Vitamins A, C, E, and zinc. They smell awful)
- Calcium.
- Potassium.
That's in addition to my daily Celexa and the magic Ambien of sleepytime. It's a miracle I don't rattle when I walk.
But I do feel a little better today, which is good, because I have Things To Do.
---
In other news, I am more than a little tempted by the idea of hunting for a pair of white or other pale-colored granny boots at a thrift store, so I can try the E6000 glue + pink glitter craft project. Because I'm CRAZY. Yes, I know. But pink sparkly boots! I need them!

You don't take as much as my roomie takes. She takes at least 15 different vitamins a day, in addition to aspirin as well as her diabetic meds.

Glad to see you're doing better, though. I know it may sound somewhat cliche, but hang in there. Things will get better. ♥

Though my health condition isn't nearly as wacky as yours*, I also take some supplements like vitamin C, zinc and a combo of magnesium, calcium and D3. If I don't take C and zinc it takes me about 5 days to get a cold (and yes, I do eat fruits and vegetables en masse) and if I don't take magnesium and co. my calves cramp at night.
*My body just finds it totally agreeable to produce tons of DHEA which just take the wrong turn, that is to say become male hormones. So I have to take the birth control pill as some kind of becoming too male control pill, because if I don't take it, that'd be my natural state of birth control, hah. Plus, my facial condition goes back to adolescence.
I'd happily accept infertility and enhanced muscle formation if it weren't for the acne. Thus I have to deal with mood swings, slight fatigue and gestational cravings. Dammit.

I will have to look this up as one of my docs has me on the various b vitamins and I'm tired of all these damned bottles on my nightstand.

Multivitamin
Fish Oil
Vitamin D - twice a day (which, by the way, is the only thing that has helped my brittle, brittle nails in combination with Calcium + Magnesium pill - the Calcium pills alone didn't really do it)
Calcium with Magnesium added (twice a day)
Lysine
Metamucil Fiber capsules (1 twice a day - hello over 40 issues! Blerg!)
Glucosamine (gawd I love getting older!)
And then, of course, the Deplin, my BC pill, and my allergy pill.
*sigh*

I took those vitamins from childhood on, but stopped when they were making me ill on a daily basis. Hooray for saving $ and feeling better! Even when others thought I had severe anemia (I was fainting a lot at the time), iron supplements made me feel worse. Sometimes we just have to write our own rules, listen to our body's inner wisdom. I'm glad if they're working for you & hope you'll take heart that a good portion of these are straightforward/non-prescriptive upkeep supplements, nothing too fearsome :)

Of course you need pink sparkly boots. I am surprised you do not have them already.

It is good to hear you are doing better, being sick well going through a time of great stress can really really take a toll on a body.
Hhuumm . . . what shoe size are you? That reminds me of when I saw sparkle Docs in my local mall . . . PINK ones!

I can't seem to find it easily on Walgreens, but if you go to a pharmacy and ask them if they have anything, it could make your life inifitely better. The best ones you will have to keep in the fridge, to keep them fresh/alive.
I know I'm someone you've never met, but please let my experience help you not go through the same thing.

Anyway, I hope you start feeling better and that all the vitamins sink in and make you healthy!

I think that craft project sounds awesome, though I think it might be easier to find doc martens in the appropriate color.

your b-complex is way more burly than mine! I added it in this winter after my acupuncturist recommended it for the energy slump/cfs fear for 2011. I think it's been a good addition.
other than the DMAE, we take pretty much the same stuff for our similar energy related conditions. glad your doc is pointing you in the right direction.
