Happy candy day!

I hope everyone is having a nice day, no matter your romantic status or even if you dislike Valentine's Day. Personally, I'm all for people showing affection to each other, so I like this holiday. Plus, y'know, chocolate! And heart-themed things! (Plan for tomorrow: go to the store, scope out the half-off heart-shaped bakeware and dishes. And maybe heart-decorated socks.)

(The Stroppy One and I are delaying our Valentine's Day celebrations until we are both not staring at looming deadlines in a panic-stricken manner.)

A thing I am thankful for this holiday? That I no longer work in retail hell, and no longer have to repeat statements such as "No sir, I do not know what your wife/girlfriend/lady you have a crush on would like as a gift" and "No, I will not try on that red lace ... thing you are clutching, so you can "get an idea what it looks like" before you decide to buy it for your significant other. NO."

(True story, and it happened more than once. In retrospect, it's kind of amazing that I do still like Valentine's Day.)

Anyway, all of you have a good day, okay? Now I go back to answering emails and editing things.

Trader Joe's "Lovey Gummy Tummies" candies (currently featured on their website (http://traderjoes.com/)) are cherry flavored and juice filled. I tried them this weekend, and got an inordinate amount of glee from nomming on delicious bleeding heart candy.

Wow. So many retail customers suck. Maybe someday we'll make videos of them sucking and put them on YouTube labeled "How Not to Act". It's the only way.
