I need to go play on the swings more often.

EDITED TO ADD: Ooh, what I'd love is to to have someone build a swingset in my backyard. Nothing fancy, just something with two swings that are sturdy enough for people who are not little kids.

True story. H and I met working out of the same office one summer. He was broker than dirt, and told me, "I'd ask you out, but I can't afford to take you anywhere nice."

Well, we don't have to go anywhere at all.

"What do you mean?"

We could just, you know, walk down to the park and swing on the swings. Ride on the merry-go-round.

"And you'd be okay with that?"

Sure.

So that's what we did. I took him home first and turned him loose in my mom's kitchen to cook supper for us because I knew he was broke and wouldn't eat, otherwise. And after swinging in the park, we walked to the dairy bar and I spotted him for a sundae. He paid me back when he could. You know, as you do.

Not bad at all for a first date. And a precedent.

I want your shoes, but as someone who has a swing set in their back yard for people who are not children..you cannot go wrong with a study wooden play set it doesn't rust and nasty hornets don't nest in it.
