about starting a new contract at the Evil Empire? Going to a new building's cafeteria to get a snack and noticing heads snapping around to get a better look at me. You'd think they'd never seen a goth in a top hat, black pinstripe batwing-hem jacket, and black skirt before.

Speaking of the black (glitter!) pinstripe batwing-hem jacket: the wondrous BlueJay is delivering another one (in a black/red sparkly stretch velvet) next week. However, that doesn't stop me from thinking about what fabric(s) I would have my "signature jacket" made in next. Do I want it in black satin? Black-on-black Chinese brocade? Black and red Chinese brocade? I can't decide. Any suggestions?

You know, Kij and I were just talking about office jobs and gothiness. One of my work dreams is to have a job where I could wear fancies. Here I make fancies, but need to be wearing pants, and shortish sleeves, with smooth cool fabrics. Makes me casual, it does. So, bring on the fashion details! I swoon!

Let me know which building you're in

...and what time you have lunch. Some day, when I don't have to work around lunchtime, you and I and Alfredo should mingle for food. I'll dress - I don't bother around here.

But lunch with you and Alfredo would be fun. :)

44? Really? What team? That's the home digs of my peoples, that and 43 (which ostensibly contains my office).

Yep indeed. So you're WSCG too, then. Welcome to the crew!

I just Outlooked you on my MS mail -- we now have only three degrees of separation at El Company: Karen Forster is our mutual UMT-level manager. Weeee!

Making everyone's day a little odder is a sacred mission.

BTW, I dreamt last night that I saw you out in a cloak made of drapery material with a pattern of large snowmen in Christmas colors. You told me why, but I forget. Yee!

Welcome back to the Evil Empire. The Empire's Evil Dress Code is (fortunately) not yet enforced.

Lunch sometime?

(points, squeaks)

Good heavens, I had no idea you were on LJ. Lunch sometime would be spiffy.

Oh lord I love your fashion sense. I think black and red Chinese brocade would be lovely in the jacket, though it would depend on how well it drapes.

Ah, so you were the gal the shuttle driver was talking about....along with everyone on the bus it seems. *grin* Actually a lot of people then said oh yeah, her... and thought it was cool ~ different, but cool. =D

Actually I think the conversation started because of my big Jack purse and your coffin purse.

Stumbled upon your lj from a mutual friend and saw this post, sorry won't take up any more of your time.
