Someone please tell me why I find the Lambchop boots so cute? Besides the fact that they've got the fantastic Mini-style heel, which I absolutely love on my Babycakes, I mean.

The Xie Xie boots (clicky-link!) are gorgeous, but I fear those heels wouldn't work for me. (I've been spoiled by the Mini heels; they really are that comfortable.)

Oooh, the Libby Smith boots (clicky-link!) are pretty. Yes, I am sucker for button detailing on boots. They just look so elegant!

(Of course, if I'm going to talk about Fluevogs and button details, I should talk about my completely unrealistic dream that I'm going to somehow find a pair of Fluevog Babycakes in the pink/cranberry colorway (clicky-link!) at a consignment or thrift store. Ahahaha. So, so not going to happen. But it's a pretty dream to have.)

While we're talking about unrealistic dreams, gosh, maybe someday Mr. Fluevog will realize that he should team up with Gothic Charm School, and make the Babycakes in black with pink details and pink with black details.

And now that I'm done touring the special fantasy-land shoe store that exists in JilliLand, I suppose I should get back to working on this chapter outline.

Erm...the only difference between the heels on your Babycakes and my Xie Xies are an inch (yours are 3", mine are 2") and a shape (yours are round, mine are square). The Xie Xies are *amazingly* comfortable. That's why I bought the damn things even though they were far and away the most expensive ones on my list. ;)

I don't know what it is about the Mini heel that makes them so freakishly comfortable, even if they are 3". (They certainly don't feel like it.) I think it might be the rubber grip tread on the heel and sole.

I love the Libby boots too. If I thought there was a chance in hell the Xie Xie boots would fit me - I'd covet them as well.

John Fluevog is my friends boss and he is super cool. Not only that but he does an open source project where you can design a shoe or boot and tell him why he should make it and every year he picks one to make. You can read all about it if you sign up for the Fluevog facebook page. I'm a huge Fluevogger myself.

I love the look of so many of there shoes and have had you and others of my friends exclaim loudly about how amazing they are. Down the road I would love to try on some of there work boot styles do they have a local shop or is it all online?
