Look! A Goth at sunrise!

The radio interview thing went well. The Stroppy One said I sounded good, so yay.

My clever plan is to stay up all day (after staying up all night), and then go to bed around 11PM. Let's see if that clever plan actually, y'know, works.

THIS IS NOT A NATURAL TIME OF DAY FOR ME TO BE SEEING. THIS IS VERY VERY STRANGE.

Hahaha! Well you look fabulous of course!

And I hope your plan works!

Are you getting sleeeeeeeepy? ;)

I can start poking you - as well as that could possibly doing online! How else can we keep you awake? Find pretty pictures?

Pretty pictures! Yes, send pretty pictures!

(Hey, when does this issue of GBM hit the stands? Do you know?)

I do believe that's Volunteer Park Cafe in the background, yes? :)

From: [identity profile] javagoth.livejournal.com

I thought that looked familiar - but I couldn't place having only been there once - the morning of the Lifelong Aids Walk.

But you look so perky!

I think the sleep plan is a good one, if you can manage it.

Welcome to the Dawn World.

It's one of my favorite places. It is so quiet and still.

From: [identity profile] botgrrrl.livejournal.com

Do not be scared. Armed with coffee, the Dawn World is easily conqured.

The dawn world scares me to, it gets light to fast, and noisy, very noisy.

So I should expect you to be bleary and incoherent by the time I show up this evening? ;)

I have always liked the stillness of early morning, but it's also just way, way too early most of the time. Touristing in it occasionally is okay but it's too hard to do it regularly.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Heh. Yes. Well, maybe not completely incoherent, but I may be a bit babbly.

The stillness of early morning is vaguely pretty, but still very freaky and alien.

But.. but.. you aren't melting? this is inconcievable!

Not that I would want you to melt away! Never such a thing! :D

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Sunblock and cloud layer. That's why I didn't melt. That, and the promise of coffee right around the corner.

When Resident Giant was too young to wander off on his own he went through a phase of waking me at 5am because he wanted to go and photograph sunrise from local landmarks.

From: [identity profile] tinkerbell86ca.livejournal.com

You look like a little doll!

I didn't get a chance to listen to the show >_< *tear*

Getting up early for me is 8AM so I can get ready for work. Still, early mornings are strange, all silent, and almost always cold.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

When I was still employed by the Giant Software Company, getting up early was ... 8:30AM. I am so not a morning person it's almost laughable.

From: [identity profile] tinkerbell86ca.livejournal.com

I my self am not a morning person, I am more of a afternoon/evening/night sort of person. During the day I usually stay indoors anyways because I am not all that fond of being out in sunlight for long amounts of time. When I tan, I don't actually tan, I blotch, (Like if you took a sponge, dipped it in self tanner, and stippled it on your skin, that is how I tan), so I avoid sun exposure as much as I can. Plus, the sun damages the skin, something I try to avoid with lots of sunscreen.

My old job, i was on a swing shift . . . sometimes I would have to get up at4 or 5 in the morning >_< Bleh! Do not want! Glad I quit that job!

8:30 . . . to early for the darkly inclined! (for the

I can be caught at sunrise sometimes. My grocery store opens at 6am, so I usually do my food shopping, then go to bed for the day.

In fact, I tend to run all my errands as early as possible, because I like it when it's quiet and no one's around.

You look super-cute, by the way! I especially like your skirt.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Thank you! It's a skirt from Retroscope Fashions that I customized. The center panel was taken from a t-shirt.

And that's the part that I like best... Good thing I'm a diy kinda seamstress.

Now I need to find a suitable tee to dissect!

*hee* You look a mite bit nervous! Don't worry, o'dark-thirty is usually safe...

Wishing you random effervescent bursts of energy throughout the day so that you might accomplish your clever plan. :)

When the Stroppy One and I left the radio station, it was still dark out. That was kind of eerie.

I'm with you on the early morning is unnatural thing. My body doesn't like to eat before 9am most days. I had to trick it into a protein drink the morning of the Lifelong Aids Walk so that I wasn't trying to walk on an empty stomach... Of course, if I'd known where Volunteer Park cafe was and that I'd be parking right across the street from it... Ah well, next year. :)

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Part of the reason I stayed up all night for this thing is because I knew that even if I managed to knock myself out and go to sleep at a semi-reasonable hour, my body just doesn't do well with being woken up in the early morning. No matter how much sleep I might have gotten, I would have felt punchy and off-kilter.

The Volunteer Park Cafe has *wonderful* food. I hope you get to try it some day!

From: [identity profile] javagoth.livejournal.com

I know what you mean - I'd probably do the same in your shoes because I'm NOT a morning person. I can function if I have to on a limited basis but being coherent, much less articulate, not so much.

I went there for my victory latte and decided I needed to go back and try the food at some point because it all looked and smelled wonderful!

I love that slightly desperate "I can do this, I really, really, really can do this!" expression in your eyes.

From: [identity profile] sistawendy.livejournal.com

You look fabulous, which is no mean feat at that hour. And good luck adjusting to my schedule. Mmu hu hwaugh huh hah ha!

Remember: archive! Archive of radio show!

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

YOUR schedule is a thing of evil and freakiness.

If they don't get the show up on the site, I'll look into hosting a copy somewhere on GCS.

You make it sound like you'd burst into flames if you went out into direct sunlight. :D

An appropriate Black Books quote:

"What's the time?"
"Half ten."
"Half ten? Half ten?!! I've never been up at half ten..... What happens?"

From: [identity profile] lilith925.livejournal.com

Ugh! The farmers around here get up as I'm falling into my crypt. It's a good thing as it cuts down on forced interaction.

Did someone say that you looked like a little doll? THAT would be AWESOME. If you evar decide to create a "Cupcake Goth" action figure I'll take one!
