She asked to go to the grocery store, having been denied the reaction of strangers on the bus... I explained to her: If you were dressed as a vampire or butterfly-fairy-princess, that would be fine with me. But imagine the reaction of someone at the rush-hour grocery store who just saw a loved one in a horrible car wreck. It looks too close to trauma on casual glance; I further explained that *I* was just not up to anyone screaming or fainting while I try to get our dinner. I mean brains. Mmm, brains. Oh wait, I mean dinner.

Just popping out of the woodwork to point out that while that is very nice zombie makeup, you could make it even better with the simple application of some Elmer's glue and a hairdryer. ^^
