I am taking a break from working on the Storage Heap Room o' Doooooom. No, this is not the big threatened clear-out. Not by a long shot. But I need to make room in there to put the two dressers that [livejournal.com profile] torreybird is very kindly giving me, because those dressers are part of my Clever Plan to actually organize that space. And make it usable, instead of a wilderness of fabric, clothes, and assorted craft projects.

Oh. My. God. When I finally do start the big clear-out, it is going to be Not At All Fun.

On the plus side, I've found a stash of b&w striped fabric to hand to BlueJay! Because I bet I can bribe her into making me a stripy cropped blazer.

Okay, I've had some water, and I've stopped feeling like I'm about to hyperventilate. Back into the chaos I go.

I had to do a big cleaning-out of my sewing room a while back, and one of my friends came and helped. It sped things up a *lot* to have someone around to give an outside opinion on the inevitable question: "Will I ever actually use/wear this?". She also helped me to get into a really ruthless state of mind. It was liberating!

When you do get around to it, let me know if you'd like help. I seriously need to pay it forward.

I'm pretty good at organizing and help clear others clutter (really need to sit down and do a bit of that here still). If you'd like impartial & helpful company while you deal with it all, let me know.

Are the cats helping? Mine always want to help me.

There's always the quick solution: a can of lighter fluid and a match. Not to be used indoors.

I would be happy to just hand while you work too

I of course volunteer to help - I too have had help recently as you know with my art room.

Have you got all of the hangers, clips, garment bags, etc etc that you need? Have you thought of putting your big petticoats in old comforter bags? They are clear, and have handles, and even can be stacked. I might be able to get some for you...

Duane did not have any info about the Doll Convention when I spoke to him on Tuesday.
