I spent today writing something for the GCS site, answering all sorts of emails relating to GCS things, and job-hunting. Oh, and I walked up to Neptune Coffee and back, because I wanted a double-tall iced americano AND I figured that getting Out Of The House would be a good idea.

Tonight, I am ... going to work a little bit more on some GCS writing, do some alterations on that cute stripy Ben Sherman blazer I geebled about a while ago, and have a comfort movie playing on the tv. (Perhaps Moulin Rouge? I haven't seen it in ages ...) I am also going to indulge in some absinthe, and maybe a piece of chocolate.

The Great Re-Decorating that [livejournal.com profile] maiaarts helped me with, while for photo and film purposes, also has made the library feel much more like "my" space. It always was, but now it is decorated in a very Cupcake Goth sort of style, including turning the big table into a more enticing workspace for me. Now let's just hope that because the space is so enticing and decorative, I'll do better at, erm, putting things away in their proper places, and not letting heaps of clutter build up.

Oh! I'll post a more detailed reminder tomorrow, but as a quick nudge: The Clang-Bang Cabaret is this coming Saturday night at the Rendezvous Jewelbox Theatre! It would be lovely to see you there.

HI Hun!

You came in my store and I never knew:( I'm a big-wig at Book Soup In West Hollywood and I came downstairs yesterday and found a stack of Gothic Charm School Flyers! (And you left an impression as the staff said you were darling!)

Is Harper sending you on a book tour for this? If you are interested in signing at book soup let me know!(Even if they are not we can have you anyway...or maybe another party!) email me if interested: Jennifer@booksoup.com

Hey pretty lady!

Yes, I went by Book Soup to check it out, because I AM doing a reading there in late June. So I'll finally get to see you!

Just making sure that you're aware that there's an absinthe bar in Greenwood now. :)

It's called Gainsbourg (http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/1/778488/restaurant/Greenwood-Phinney/Gainsbourg-Seattle). I found it randomly last weekend. It's a french restaurant, and they do have fairly tasty (and inexpensive) food. But they have a whole absinthe menu.

Here's some fun reading for you, a NY Times piece on a woman with a poison garden. (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/21/garden/21poison.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=%22poison%20garden%22&st=cse) She doesn't look it, but she's rather perky goth.

Totally OT, but I got the blazer today, and it fits perfectly! Thank you!
