Grind tonight is a Midsummer Night/Faerie theme, which means I can be even more elaborate with makeup and accessories! Wheee!
The wonder of having shaved half my eyebrows off is, when I want to draw them on REALLY eccentrically, it isn't difficult. I now have eyebrows that go in a straight line. I also have huge smudges of dark green eyeshadow accented with shimmery white, and little round mirror dots glued to the inside edges of the eyebrows AND the inner and outer corners of my eyelids. Plus a black star beauty mark on my left cheekbone. This will all be complemented by dark green lipstick and as much glitter as I can throw on myself.
The outfit:
- Giant hoop skirt, worn under a princess-seamed dark green brocade dress with an enormous skirt, square neckline, and lots of lace trim on the cuffs, neckline, and hem.
- Black velvet waist cincher (maybe. I haven't completely decided yet).
- Black veil with multiple layers of tulle, on a crown of black roses.
- A dark sparkly green silk rose on a velvet choker.
The best thing about this whole outfit? It's surprisingly lightweight and comfortable, which is ESSENTIAL for attending Grind in the summer.
