when everyone had gone away, at long last (did you get to meet Alexa and her fiance Rochelle? they are absolutely darling and charming), I complimented Patty on her crystal ball, and she was very pleased about having it. But then the topic turned to talking about how her mother had purchased a ouija board after Patty's dad died, and they tried to use it. When she realized her mistake, she went to the priest and asked him what to do with it, and I said "burn it". She smiled and said "that's exactly what he said," dad had been nodding in agreement with me. The topic of conversation sort of revolved a bit around the notion of ghosts in the air (there was also talk of her going to some of the cathedrals around England and Ireland), when it was just the three of us. Just interesting that you got a "ghosts in the air" card while that was going on here.
