Sooooo I may have, while browsing eBay, found someone's auction for a ballroom dance competition skirt. A flamenco skirt made from black sequined fabric. (The modern stuff where the sequins don't fall off because they're bonded to the base fabric, not sewn on.)

Full skirt. Ruffled hem. BLACK SEQUINS.

That thing is going to look FANTASTIC with an overskirt of black sheer or black lace. The temptation to wear it with my new military jacket from Dracula Clothing is strong, because then I could blast "The Black Parade" and cackle delightedly to myself.

BLACK SEQUINED SKIRT. FEAR ME.

That seriously does sound awesome. I swear, this is going to sound shallow, too, but the last few days, between reading your droolings over black sequins/beaded apparel, and my own reading and listening to Harry Potter, I'm seriously considering going a more Diagon Ally bent towards my personal look. Whimsical, practical, comfortable. Note emphasis :D

Wow, that jacket!! I hope you'll post some pictures of this outfit when it happens!
I've been looking for sparkly things lately too but may be choosing unwisely. I got a pointy-hem skirt in black glittery fabric from an Etsy shop that I liked a lot more before realizing that it left sparkles all over the black office chairs. The bonded-in sequins sound a lot safer.
