Friday Five (I stole it)
1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?

Play an instrument well. I learned enough piano to scrape by in music theory classes, and then promptly forgot it. I still look longingly at pianos at estate sales. I'd like to learn how to play the cello too, but I think that's from my continual listening to Rasputina.

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?

Yes. But if the thing is dreadful, I try and point out the good aspects of it AND offer helpful suggestions.

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?

Yes. I was dismayed by it, but moved on because the friendship was still good.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?

Oh dear oh dear. Um, my top 3 choices:

1. The setting of College of Magics. Edwardian era with magic. Oh gosh, no, I'd hate that.Sorcery and Cecelia - Regency-era England with magic? Sign me up!

2. Hogwarts. Yes, I'm serious. In my childhood, I imagined places like Hogwarts, and desperately wanted to find and go live in them.

3. Sorcery and Cecelia - Regency-era England with magic? Sign me up! DJ Eternaldarkness pointed out I had forgotten the Discworld. Yep, Terry Pratchett trumps S&C. But I do worry that I'd be some sort of unholy melding of Susan, Agnes, and Perdita.

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?

The ability to learn languages easily. I'm horrible at it.

What? not the Disc? I'd be all down with living on the Discworld!

See I think that you'd fit perfectly with Susan, Agnes, and Perdita. OR if you've read Wee Free Men, the young witch there. I'd see you fitting right in.

I haven't read Wee Free Men yet. Know of anyplace local that I can pick up a copy with the UK cover art. The Husband does not want the US cover art in the house.

Nope, I had to get it from amazon.co.uk (where i get all my pratchett from...;) )
