Another burgundy and black outfit. I am very pleased with everything I've ordered from ChicStar so far; this jacket came from that site, and I didn't have to do ANY tailoring or modifications to it at all. My only complaint about it is that this particular jacket doesn't have pockets, boo!

Fan art time! One of the peeps who follows me on Tumblr and FB drew this after seeing my outfit on Wednesday. She said it took her however long the movie of Interview With The Vampire runs.

I am just ... ridiculously happy whenever someone does fan art of me. Part of it is that I know that I'm kind of a cartoon character, so seeing people draw me as one makes me smile. But part of it is that I'm so damn flattered when it happens!

In other news, the annoyance of getting up earlier than normal today for a morale event was counterbalanced by the fact that it was a champagne breakfast morale event. Yes, give me egg torta, bacon, and mimosas, thank you. But I'm still really looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

The drawing is darling, and beautifully accurate, too! That coat is gorgeous, pockets or not. I really like the way it falls from the nipped-in waist and drapes over the skirt. I enthusiastically approve adding more dramatic wines (burgundy, claret, a nice beaujolais...) and crimsons to your wardrobe, in addition to the pink.
