I have two coffin purses that aren't *quite* right, but close. I have a couple of lunch boxes and a few box purses, but none of them are exactly what I want either.

It's an obsession, I tell you.

What I really want is a larger version of my mirror-finish lucite coffin. One that is slightly taller/deeper, because the super-cute corset wallet/makeup bag that A. gave me doesn't quite fit into it (I know this, because I tried last night). I could just have the boi who made the shinyshiny coffin make a larger one as a custom order, but it took him FOREVER to get the original one to me, and I don't want to spend 6 months or more to get it.

And while I know it's a completely shallow reason, I don't want to pick up one of the black pleather coffin box purses that are out, because I know too many other people who have them. Yes, I'm shallow and vain, I know. Go ahead, shake your collective heads in dismay at me.

In other news, work is starting to pick up, just in time for me needing to take a day off to make sure The Husband's brain doesn't explode because his current art deadline is this Thursday.

Perfect Purse

I've been on a hunt myself for the Perfect Purse. I really want a cute Kitty purse, but like you I don't want one that I've seen other people have. It's frustrating.

I have more purses than I know what to do with right now. It's pathetic. :p

the eternal quest

Bec. there is no such thing at the perfect purse, gothy or otherwise. If the beast *does* exist, it is far, far too elusive. Maybe it catches our scent before we can catch it. I dunno, but I've been hunting for decades now with a closet full of not-quite-perfect purses to show for it.

Actually, I can find "perfect for one very specific use" purses. Like, this purse is great with only this one outfit or to carry for about 2 hours max. & only when doing certain activities. But never the truly perfect purse that will last me day & night, where ever I go, & regardless of what I'm wearing.

If the perfect purse exists, its price is in four figures.

I'm just hoping Jilli sells some imperfect ones.

*laugh*

Funny you should mention that. I'm going to start weeding through the collection for an upcoming sale ...
