Burgundy, black, and charcoal. I have a jacket that matches the waistcoat (the things you can find on clearance from J. Peterman), but that's going to have to wait until the weather becomes more autumnal.

Friday's wardrobe dilemma: I'm going to the Dead Can Dance concert (!!!) straight from work, the concert is outdoors (aaaugh!), and it's supposed to be 80ยบ tomorrow (ewwww). But still, Dead Can Dance!

That is a fantastic outfit.

Not if they're synthetic fibers, they're not. :(

But I *think* I've figured out the outfit. I just have to decide which mini hat to wear.

I'll be there! Also deliberating about what to wear. But I'll be coming from a day of Seattle sightseeing.

Dangit. I knew I should have gotten that waistcoat. ;)

I should also proofread.

My *only* quibble with the waistcoat is that it doesn't have real pockets. Which shocked me, because I'm used to items from J. Peterman having functional pockets.

The matching blazer is fantastic, too. But I've hit the point where I'm not willing to purchase anything from them at full price.

I don't think I've ever bought anything full-price from them. Always Last Chance, sales, and coupons. And there's definitely a calculus at work; some things don't ever hit the "worth it" price for me even on sale (that vest and jacket were in that category; by the time the price was low enough my size was gone). Occasionally I regret that when something sells out and never appears on eBay, but that's the chance I take in being cheap.

I do feel like their quality has slipped the last few years. I'm finding more button and hook issues and a lot of things that used to come lined don't come that way anymore. And at some point they changed their fit models; I can still wear a size 12 thing from a decade ago, but for the past few years I've pretty much had to get an 18 in anything new. It's a lot harder to justify the full prices when the quality doesn't seem as good.
