In which I contemplate brewing another pot of tea to fend off sleep-deprivation and a headache that is lurking around the edges of my brain.

(And yes, I brewed a pot of chocolate oolong tea (Dr. Chocolate from David's Tea), even tho' I had already had a pot of tea AND a triple-shot iced americano earlier. I really don't want this to turn into a(nother) migraine.

Also, I am DONE with summer. Over it. Autumn gloom and grey clouds can show up ANY TIME NOW, THANKS.

No no no, no migraine. And I will join you in being sick of summer: I've lost count of how many days over 90 we've had, and told the Hecubot to put something along the lines of "Screw you, Orb, we're outta here!" on my "Escape From Utah Road Trip" playlist.

you look adorable. And yes, I am also done with summer. bleah.

oh god, ME TOO (on the impending migraine, the coffee and god yes please Autumn now). a thousand times YES.

In other news, I just purchased some (resin cast) black raven claws for necklaces and hat ornaments ... now ... mink jawbones (again, resin cast!), yes or no? Combined with pearls and a bleached peacock feather on a hat ....

YES. Where are you finding resin cast raven claws and mink jawbones? I need some. But yes, they would look lovely with pearls and bleached peacock feathers!

Oh! Did you see that Alchemy Gothic has done scarab earrings and lockets? I thought of you. http://www.amazon.com/Alchemy-Gothic-Antique-Egyptian-Necklace/dp/B008714J06

I really wish summer didn't kill you, since it always boosts my mood and I hate to see someone suffering from what makes me happy.

Be warned, though, it is supposed to be sunny and warm all weekend. Make popsicles. Goths are allowed to eat popsicles, aren't they? You could make some stripey ones.

I'm happy for all my summer-happy friends? Because I really am, it's just that I want to avoid it.

Oh lord, it IS supposed to be warm all weekend, isn't it? Whoo, vending on Saturday at the Steampunk University is going to be interesting. I'll have to bribe people to go fetch me popsicles.

Oh my friend, I've been *done* with summer since about May. I'm just grateful that July is finally gone and that the stores are going to be lining up their autumn goodies right away here. (I get the most awkward glances when I ask for them in June.)

We've had a relatively mild summer so far, but August is hitting like a flame tornado. And it won't start cooling off till the middle/end of October. Autumn is sounding damn fine.

And you look like a little oreo cuppycake -- so cute!

Are there any good places to have tea near your office? My son's Dad is flying in to Seattle to work for a week at the Isilon offices there, and we're coming with him. I'm so excited to finally get to see Seattle.

!!!

I work for Isilon! Come to the office with him one day!

If you're looking for places right there in Pioneer Square, Zeitgeist Coffee has good coffee and tea. If you're willing to go a tiny bit afield, there's the crumpet and tea shop that is by Pike Place Market. Of course, Market Spice is IN Pike Place, but they are a shop, not someplace to sit and have a cup

Yeah as much as I love Summer I'm kinda wanting some Fall now...

You look crisp and bright and spring timey in that outfit. Delicious.

You look wonderful. Those stockings are cute as sin.

I must admit I'm a Starbucks whore. My second choice is Green Tea followed closely by Country Peach Passion tea and then Red Zinger tea.
