That would be the name of the shiny shiny iPod that is sitting on my desk right now.

(Said iPod is mine due to a trade w/ the other Victorian/Edwardian ElderGothGirl in town. I had no use for some tech-y things I had, she had no need for the iPod. Everyone wins!)

Saw Matrix: Reloaded last night. Whoosh! Very fun, and it was worth sitting through the end credits to get to the trailer for Matrix: Revolution.

Do NOT want to be at work. Not one little bit.

Aaaaiiiieeeee!

Not fair! I can't go until tomorrow; I promised DH I wouldn't! And DS is outraged: most of the Horde is not here for lunch today. Guess where they went for a field trip?

Was it pretty? Carrie-Anne Moss is very high indeed on my girlcrush list.

Re: Aaaaiiiieeeee!

It was very pretty. Carrie-Anne Moss looks fantastic in head-to-toe PVC.

We went to the 10pm showing at the local family-owned theatre. The owner's son stood in front of the screen before the movie and thanked all of us for choosing to see the movie there.

Tell DS that I share his outrage – guess where most of my team was this morning? Full-time employees get "morale events" like being taken to the movies.

Oh well, we lowly contractors don't get any perks other than being paid time-and-a-half for overtime. Poor us. grin

I saw Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone at a small, family owned place in Tahoe, when the film opened, and the owner did the same thing there (along with an exhortation for us to clean up after ourselves so he didn't have to pay somebody else to do and raise ticket prices.

I want an iPod so very much, except I don't have an Apple.

Yet another dream deferred...

iPods now work with PCs, provided you have MusicMatch software.

Which, I might add, seem to come with your new iPod, according to <ahref="http://www.ipod.com/ipod/">the official iPod site.

So, don't let not having a Mac stop you.

(The price tag may be another issue, but that's up to you)

Welcome to the cult of iPod! One of us, one of us!

They have cool accessories ... check out the iSkin! (http://www.iskinprotect.com/iskin_ipod_spc.html)

Ooooooh, a glow-in-the-dark pink slipcover for Candylike the iPod! Tempting, very tempting.

what's an ipod?

Sounds like something arisen from deep under the ocean. Thus, it must have something to do with Macintoshes .

Re: what's an ipod?

You're kidding, right? Go to Apple.com and you'll see the ipod and the music service that's had two million songs purchased from it in the first 16 days of operation.

Aha! I don't pay much attention to the hardware for sale right now (haven't bought a computer for... what? five years?), but I have been paying attention to software. I heard about the Apple.com 99-cent download bonanza; very cool! Can't believe no one tried it before.
