Why am I so tired? I've been getting plenty of sleep, but I feel run-down. I'm going to take more vitamin C, echinacea, and propolis to ward off any potential illness, because hoo-boy, getting sick would play havoc with my plans right now.



I'm not *terribly* behind in things, but I still need to ...


  • Finish re-furbishing both sun hats. The stripey-bow hat needs to have the bird skull sewn on, the batty chiffon hat needs to have the bow completely re-done, the rhinestone buckle added, and its bird skull sewn on. Hopefully The Husband will do the finishing touches on the painting of the cute little acrylic bird skulls today, so I can put them on the hats tomorrow night.


  • Attach the final bit of lace ruffle trim to the top of the newly-created PVC parasol (with b&w stripy lining). After, of course, I make sure that the new finial is attached securely enough and won't spontaniously fall off or anything. Then I need to check and see if the parasol will fit in either suitcase, or if I AM going to have to priority mail it to the hotel. (Stop laughing at me. Yes, I am considering doing that. I said stop laughing.)


  • Do the alterations to the pink lace overdress: take the lace trim for the collar out of its black dye bath, rinse & dry it, then attach it, sew the black lace trim on the hem, and sew all the black buttons on.

  • Try on all the outfits I have planned for C9, make sure they all work the way I think they will.


  • Go buy black cotton ankle socks, sew black point lace trim around the tops.




I think that's everything I need to do. I hope. My brain feels like it's been wrapped in cotton wool, so I have this slight nagging fear that I've forgotten something. I have no idea what though.
