Dark Chocolate and Pepper-Smoked Caramel: This doesn't work on me at ALL, dammit. Any chocolate or caramel notes it has don't appear on my skin at all. Nope, on me this turns into stale coffee mixed with smoke and a dash of pepper. I had to go scrub this off my wrist after about 30 minutes, because it was giving me a headache. It smells lovely in the bottle, just not on me.

White Chocolate and Sugared Violets: Very delicate and sweet. The white chocolate note faded quickly on me, leaving the scent of slightly-sweetened violets. It's pretty, but not quite what I want in a perfume.

White Chocolate and Strawberry: Wow, very strawberry. And not that strange plastic-y and synthetic "strawberry" scent that all strawberry-scented bath products smell of, either. No, this smells like a bowl of ripe strawberries topped with sweetened whipped cream. (It has made me crave a piece of strawberry shortcake like CRAZY.) It's very yummy, but again, not quite what I want in a perfume.

Milk Chocolate Buttercream: WHY HELLO THERE, CHOCOLATE FROSTING. That's what it smells like in the bottle, freshly-made chocolate frosting. Alas, it doesn't stay that chocolate-y on my skin. After a while it fades down to a pleasant sugary scent, but not chocolate-y. I may try layering it with my One True Chocolate Scent (BPAL's Lump of Coal, and if any of you have some of it that you don't want, LET ME KNOW), because I think the combination of a mild chocolate frosting scent with one that smells of freshly-baked brownies would be dizzyingly wonderful.

So, I may purchase one more bottle of the Milk Chocolate Buttercream, and I will be looking for new homes for at least two of the others. (I'm waffling about the White Chocolate and Strawberry scent.) (That last aside has made me think of strawberry waffles. Oooh, waffles.) I'll admit, I'm a little sad that the Milk Chocolate Buttercream scent was not ZOMG AMAZING MUST STOCKPILE, because I was really hoping that my quest for a perfect chocolate perfume was over. But on the bright side, this means I'll end up with extra spending money for at the Vampire Ball, since I won't be spending every penny I may have on perfume.

I wonder how the chocolate would do with a layer of the chocolate oil I have here. I could put together a dram for you.

I only kept three: Milk Chocolate Buttercream, White Chocolate and Strawberry & White Chocolate, Marshmallow & Coconut. I hated the pepper-smoked caramel and the cherry one smelled really fake. I don't even recall the violets ;p

Hmm. I may have to did out the fragrance stuff and have another stab at the chocolate/rose fragrance I was working on a couple of years ago.
