Tonight: PETER MURPHY! ElderGoths, staple your hands to your foreheads!
Tomorrow: writing (oh, and have I mentioned I'm over the 75% done mark? Well, I am, and I am VERY PLEASED about that. We will not speak of revisions at this moment. No thinking of revisions until draft zero is done.), and then dressing up and going off to Club V at Lower CHAC for dancing.
Sunday: Er, more writing? Oh, and flailing about my upcoming business trip to Ottawa. Can I pack for a three day trip with just two pieces of carry-on luggage? Maybe if I don't bring a spare petticoat? I don't know. I think I had better do some test packing on Sunday.

Hey, recommend vampire movies to me. I've read an insane amount of vampire novels, but haven't seen a whole lot of vampire movies, because most of them are, well, dire. (However, I do own Queen Of The Damned, and watch it. Usually while drinking absinthe and giggling a lot, but I still do watch parts of it.) Yes, I've seen the usual ones: Dracula (the Tod Browning and the Coppola versions), The Hunger (David Bowie as a vampire! Peter Murphy in a cage!), The Lost Boys (we are not going to discuss how many times I've seen it in the theater. Let's just say that it hit the dollar theater close to my house the summer it was released, and leave it at that.), Nosferatu, 30 Days of Night (which I quite liked), Interview With The Vampire, Near Dark, From Dusk Til Dawn, Shadow Of The Vampire, both Blade movies (which were silly fun), the first Underworld movie (again, dumb, but fun). Give me other suggestions, please!

Product review time! I finally broke down and sent a tube of NARS Chandernagor lip color (my One True Lipstick, which has been discontinued, whaaah!) to 3Custom Color (clicky-link!).
I'm pretty impressed. The color isn't an exact match; part of that is because I asked for a different formula (semi-matte lipstick instead of a liquid-to-matte product), part of it is because I suspect the original color is nigh impossible to perfectly replicate. Chandernagor is a deep wine/cherry red with a fuchsia base tone. I can understand why it was discontinued, because it is not a color for everyone. But on me? It is The Perfect Color.
The duplicate from 3Custom is a smidge too fuchsia. It leans more toward fuchsia than wine. But, over a deep wine liner (such as, oh, MAC Currant), it looks almost exactly like the original. When layered over NARS Scarlet Empress lipstick, it is HOLYCRAP AMAZING. Was it worth the $60+ for two tubes of it? I'm going to say yes. Plus, they now have "my" formula on file, and I can order more tubes of it whenever I want.
::makes fangirl flaily hands:: PETER MURPHY, PEOPLE! TONIGHT! Performing not just his music, but stuff from Bauhaus! I may even indulge in swirly eyeliner tonight, just to really go for the ElderGoth nostalgia.

Vampire movies, eh? The Sci-Fi Channel Original Movie Bloodsuckers is about space vampires.
There's also John Carpenter's Vampires, which is not that great. I'm sure you've seen From Dusk Till Dawn.

I am quite fond of the Langella version of Dracula. He reprised his role from the stage play. Just ignore the 70s-riffic hair.

Langella's Dracula, huh? I haven't seen it in ... gosh, ages. Long enough so I don't remember much about it.

W00t for a review of 3 Custom Colors! I keep wanting to send in MY One True Lipstick (a numbered Sephora shade that is the perfect mix of brown and purple tones), but I hate to part with it *grin*
Good to know that you're happy with the result!

Avoid Razorblade Smile at all costs.
Later this year (depending on time and funds), I am going to attempt to make my own lipstick (with lip-legal colors, instead of the potentially dangerous DIY method of mixing eyeshadow with lip balm). I'm tired of other people's ideas of purple, plum, and mauve always being too pale or too orange.

Vampires in space, I shit thee not!
And yet, strangely, if you are as a big a gamer geek as I, you watch it from beginning to end from the point of view of a GM, and note how perfectly it is designed as an adventure!
Oh, and Coolio is in it, so it must be, um,..... Coolio as a Vampire spoiler here!!!

I've heard Cronos is really good, plus it's done by Del Toro.
For cheesy stupidity, there's Vampire in Brooklyn.
For the anime fans, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is popular.
How could you forget Van Helsing?

Only for Julian Sands, cause he is dreamy and stuff.
See you tonight!
