My head didn't explode, thank goodness

I made it into the office today, yay? But my head feels much better. Now if the damn cramps would go away, things would be wonderful.

This is a busy busy weekend full of writing and some socializing for me, which will be nice. YES, I plan on attending the Saturday night 80s/Goth night at Lower CHAC; people should come out.

Shallow Fashion Details! No photo yet, as this morning was a bit rushed. But I will try to have the Stroppy One snap pix when I get home tonight.

• Black ballet flats printed with silver skulls and hearts. (Dear fashion industry, thank you for making things that fit my aesthetic, even if they're intended for moody, trend-hopping teens. I don't care as long as you keep providing me with skull and heart -festooned accessories.)


• Black cotton tights.


• Knee-length B&W stripey skirt with a patch of a pink heart with a black bat in the center sewn on the center panel, worn over knee-length pink petticoats. (I made the skirt out of fabric that had been hiding in the Storage Room o' Doom: knit fabric with 1/2" wide black and white stripes.)


• Black Victorian-esque blouse with a high collar, ruffles down the front, and sparkly crystal buttons.


• Black linen bodice-y type waistcoat that has lots of tiny black buttons down the front.


• Jewelry: the usual giant rings, a silver pocket watch worn as a necklace on narrow black ribbon, pink pearl earrings, and a giant silver heart and sparkly skull pendant on pink satin ribbon tied around the high collar of the blouse.


• Hair and makeup: hair pulled up into a high ponytail and secured with frothy lace-festooned hair ties; makeup is YSL Touch Éclat, translucent powder, eyeshadow consisting of pale ivory on the lids (MAC Mylar), smokey purple smudged at the outer corners and used as liner on the lower lids, and pale pink on the outer third of my upper lids (the purple & pink are from Prestige), black liquid liner on the upper lids, NYX Doll Eyes mascara, and NARS Chandernagor lipstick. (Dear 3Custom Color, please send me the custom-blended lipstick I ordered that matches this color soon, okay?)
