The LJ stuff first: whoo, am I tempted by the Permanent LJ Account offer. Really, really tempted. I just don't think I have enough free room in the budget for it.

Oh, and I'm vaguely thinking of finally taking advantage of that whacky voice-posting notion. What do you peeps think? Would you want to occasionally listen to me burble on LJ (instead of reading it)? I mean, you still wouldn't get the flailing and the hand-wavey experience of being stuck in a conversation with me, but it could be fun and entertaining. I don't know. I'll probably decide once I've had a bit more sleep than I'm currently operating under.

The past few days have ... not been pleasant, and let's just leave it at that. So hey! I distract myself with clothes!

  • Pink glittery peep-toe flats, from Payless Shoe Source. I think these are my new favorite shoes. They show off my black-polished toes! They're super cute! They're pink and glittery! (And I have a pair in black glitter, too. Fear me.)

  • Black glittery fishnets that are not quite fencenets, but are a larger weave than regular fishnet tights.

  • Black knee-length dress in stretch bengaline, with a pink mandarin collar with a bow, pink satin bands on the cap sleeves, and a full circle skirt. Worn over pink petticoats.

  • Black lace just-above-the-knee-length jacket/dress that is princess-seamed, has a deep v neckline, wide point lace on the hem, and a gazillion tiny buttons up the front.

  • My hair down, worn with the antique top hat that is trimmed with pink roses and feathers.

  • A black & pink skull cameo brooch under the bow on the neckline, pink glass pearl earrings, a jet "rosary" with an ankh, a pink and black lace cuff with jet beads (from Dollflesh.com) and the usual rings.

  • Makeup: YSL Touch Eclat concealer, some YSL "Perfect Touch" foundation on my nose, MAC "whistle" eyeshadow, black liquid liner & mascara (TooFaced's Lash Injection), and NARS "Scarlet Empress" lipstick.

Dear Powers that be, please let the rest of this summer not be crazy and stress-filled, for me AND my friends. Oh, and falling asleep easily at bedtime for all of us would be a great thing, too.

Voice posting is an awesome feature, but I can't listen to any of them at work... It works great when people are traveling, though. Luke used it when he was shooting that TV show, too.

Re the voice post thing, I have to confess, I've yet to use the option or listen to anyone's. That's because when I'm at the computer working, I'm 99.9999% certain to be listening to iTunes, so it would mean shutting off the music, adjusting volumes, etc.

But for yours? I would very likely do all that.

I never click on those voice links. I always figured they were just quick personal notes to self put up as a place holder.

Gaming? Any interest in an Unhallowed Metropolis game?

You already know the answer is Yes.

We were talking about this recently, and of the Tuesday or Thursday options, the Thursday one is slightly more workable.

Game yes. :) Like the Stroppy One says, Thursdays are probably the better option. Let me survive this week, and then I can look at my schedule.

Cool. I was thinking of turning Thurs into my dinner out night, but I haven't done it yet so no loss. I'll get back with you later.

your outfit sounds so adorable! :-)

are these the shoes (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensCasuals&BLC=WomensPromoFlats&Width=Regular&ItemCode=56296&LotNumber=055760&Type=Adult&Popularity=&DescriptiveColor=Pink)? If so they look really spiffy. Are they comfortable? I see they have them in silver, which is intriguing...

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Yep, those are the shoes. They are comfortable, except for the place on the back of my right heel where I always get a blister with new shoes. (I just broke out the Band-Aids for that spot.)

I meant to comment in your last post. I think I'll go back and do that now. :)

I like listening to voice posts, esp. of ppl I know bec. then I remember their flailing & hand-waving (or similar) & that makes me smile. Of course, you'll never catch me posting one bec. I think it requires talking into a phone. And I despise those w/the fire of 1,000 suns.

Good to know those shoes are comfortable. I've been debating them. And we live far enough apart I wouldn't have to worry about showing up at the same place w/us both wearing them :-)

PS: I'll be emailing you again later today!

black & pink skull cameo brooch

....ohohhhhhh *swoon*
Is that from dollflesh, too? I must have it.

From: [identity profile] cupcake-goth.livejournal.com

Nope, not from dollflesh. I made it myself, from bits and pieces I got from my usual craft supply store. (The usual craft supply store being eBay.)

From: [identity profile] bebemochi.livejournal.com

Oh, I'm so jealous! Did you use sculpy or something like that? I've seen some cameo molds for sculpy, but I've heard they're difficult to use.

"Oh, and falling asleep easily at bedtime for all of us would be a great thing, too."

Yes please! I second that. Cooler temps would help a lot.
