I want something like this very much. I didn't know I did, but it is now obvious that I NEED a corset with places to affix a pocket watch.

Okay missy, if you're making unseemly plans, I want to be included. ;)

Yeah, I saw that somewhere...probably one of the corset communities. It's INCREDIBLE!! No reason one can't alter a present corset with a bit of ribbon, etc. Why not?

And I *need* a lady's pocket watch anyway. Busting out your cell to see what time it is really breaks the look of a good Victorian outfit!

I have a great lady's miniature pocketwatch on a heavy silver necklace; it's actually a family heirloom from my great grandmother! I need to dig it out and start wearing it more often.

Adorable! Very nice design. Having lived through the Victor/Victoria inspired fashion craze I loved to dress with a vest and pocket watch. Miss that wardrobe. :0 )

Damn you...

And of course I mean that in the nicest of ways.

*looks on ebay for a pocket watch & chain for Dante*

Curse you, wee Jilli! I had just managed to successfully wean myself of the exhausting and extremely pricey Dickens Fair and Dickensian Ball viruses, and now you've gone and reinfected me. I need an entire elaborate costume and character to go with that corset.

Ah, well. At least that'll give me an excuse to finally get to work on making Matilda a Sunny Baudelaire outfit (for all values of "making" that equal "using baby cuteness and offers of compensatory kidsitting and housecleaning to bribe the localista friend who made all the Puritan costumes into making for me").

With men's clothing I am frequenlty annoyed by otherwise fabulous waistcoats that don't have watch pockets and dress pants that don't have watch pockets.

Corset + pocket for ID = genius. That it can also display a pocket watch is really lovely icing on an already beautiful cake.
